Quite nice restaurant but poor service
Friendly staff and authentic facilities. We tried the traditional Portuguese fish stew. We were warned that it would take an hour to prepare, and it did. (We wanted to try it anyway). The dish was well cooked and it was a lot. You could almost be there people sharing. However, it didn't taste much, which didn't make it worth the wait. 30 min after opening there was a constant line to the restaurant, it seems popular by locals.
Just AH-MAY-ZING, we had to visit twice in our one-week stay in Peniche! The food portion is generous (on our second visit, we two shared one meal), the waiter was absolutely kind, the ambiance inside is classy (you can bring a date here or celebrate an important celebration here), the service was quick, the food was so fresh, and the bathroom is also clean. Btw, food here is cheap, esp. considering the quality. Few things: the restaurant is not located in a fancy area in Peniche if that’s what you’re looking for, and the restaurant is on the first floor, if you’re concerned about accessibility. Would come here again and again.

I was checking the reviews of restaurants in the penniche area and this come up best. Sure enough it has every right to be at the top. The service was great and my steak was fabulous as was the price! 12 get in my belly!!. And the final touch was the chef asked me personally at the table how my dinner was. Please make sure this page is translated so everyone can see how good they are!!!
Fresh fish is very good. The starters are good but expensive. They put the starters on the table but do notnopen if you dont want to pay
