TL;DR: Don’t give this shop your money unless you have a signed contract of what exactly is going to be repaired. I forgot I had my iPhone X in my pocket wile snorkeling for about 1 meter or 10 seconds. I take my phone out and a couple hours later my phone’s off and won’t turn on. Water damage I figured. I googled where to repair my phone in Coron when I found this shop. I explained my story to the gentleman working there and he tells me it’s 3000 pesos if it get’s repaired and 500 pesos if not. I leave the phone with him for a few hours and when I come back my phone turns on again. Great! I thought, then while on a call, the phone shuts off by itself and I can’t get it to go back on again. Even when I attach my charging cable. Great.. The next I feel a bit dizzy because of the snorkeling so I leave the phone be for now. Another day later I go back here, tell the guy what’s wrong and go away for a few hours. I come back in the evening, my phone’s on again. The man tells me it still shuts off randomly, I check my phone, the WiFi is not selectable, problem with the hardware. When I say to the man that I don’t think this qualifies as ‘fixed’, the man says ‘yeah, but at least it’s on now, when you came here first the phone didn’t even power on’. I don’t accept this, I did not pay 3000 pesos so I can see my phone get turned on for a moment. After some back and forth the manager comes. I explain my situation to him. He says ‘yeah, but my employee still somewhat fixed your phone’. At this point I don’t know whether to laugh or to cry and finally he offered me 1000 pesos refund. I’m tired of arguing and I have an early morning ferry, so I give up, accept the 1000 pesos and as soon as I get into the trike back to the hostel...the phone powers off again and I can’t turn it back on. So now I have paid 2000 pesos for absolutely nothing. I STRONGLY do NOT recommend handing over your device to these people unless you have on black and white what ‘repaired’ actually means..

Your basic cell phone repair shop in Coron. The boys will replace a screen or a battery and appear knowable about what they are doing. I felt that i did get a farang price for looking at a water damaged phone and had i been pinoy it would have been cheaper.
