TakeawayDine-in
This little restaurant had limited dine-in space with no outdoor seats. It was freezing cold though tolerable and they seem to serve affordable comfort food. Steamed Fish with Garlic and Tausi Sauce was a very light meal with a fair serving size plus free soup. I might look for something tastier than tausi next time.

Yao's kitchen is a hidden gem. Surprisingly good siomai! I also got the tausi spareribs with rice and it was good enough... i got this thru zomato delivery and it was very smooth and quite fast service.
My God! First time encountering a meal wherein the chicken and sauce is packed in a plastic with seal. Your hands will definitely be oily upon opening the package and you will need a scissor too because you won't be able to open it with that kind of seal. Very messy. Never again. Don't do to go.
Small place to house big groups but food is well curated with the menu they offer. Nothing surprising but the dimsum is worth the try. I tried their sago lychee drink. The lychee fruit served in my drink was already rancid which was replaced by the courteous staff. It would've been better if the whole drink was replaced and not just the rancid fruit.
Tasty food, quick service, reasonable prices. I had one of their specials, Alexandria's Chicken and it wasn't bad - reminiscent of Max's fried chicken when Max's was still good. The restaurant itself is small but tastefully decorated. Overall if you're in San Antonio and looking for a place to eat or kill time, Yao's Kitchen would be a good choice.
Good food, but they removed the unli yang chow, bummer.
Taste good food.
Welcoming interiors and staff. Easy and quick menu. Good and affordable cup of coffee.
