PREVOLT is rated 3 out of 5 in the category apparel & fashion. Read and write reviews about PREVOLT. PREVOLT was founded on the art, design and ideals of Jacco Borggreve. What started for Borggreve with a small experiment to create a digital art piece he created in 2015 while studying at the AKI ArtEZ University of the Arts has since evolved into a recognizable brand, as well as an acclaimed body of fine art. The PREVOLT campaign is rooted in the Do It Yourself counterculture of harsh noise and maker culture, but it has also taken cues from fine art, glitch and political messaging. Borggreve steeps his ideology and iconography in self-empowerment. By taking known digital structures and tearing them apart, Borggreve aims to open discussions regarding set up paradigms. "If nature is unfair, change nature" PREVOLT was formed in 2017 as an extension of Jacco's range of work. Aligned with his views, clothing became another canvas to spread his art and message. The clothing is inspired by glitch aesthetics, post-human philosophy and tech wear basics, as well as the technological and cultural movements Borggreve has based his art career on. Together with designers Mattanja Piet and Eveline Laagland, Borggreve works to create designs that represent his influences, ideals and philosophy. PREVOLT is about revolution and transgression, thinking about your surroundings and questioning the purpose. The message is in the medium.
