If you want to make the difference, improve your Spanish, meet great people, be safe and happy - this company is for you! I am glad I found it for my first volunteering experience. It went very smooth. The apartment is located in a safe neighborhood close to a local market and just about 20 mins from the main plaza. The company is looking forward to help you to get the project you are the best at and responds to your concerns. I was able to teach English at a local school, attend Spanish classes, travel and enjoy the city in a very relaxed manner. On Thursdays and Fridays we had workshops where we learned how to make Pisco Sour and dance salsa! The only down side is that you get used to this and don’t want to leave! My stay in Cusco with Peru Volunteer was an amazing experience where I learned for my life. I had not only a good time with the other Volunteers in the cozy apartment but also a great time with my students. The kids were thankful and had a lot of fun with all the volunteers. You really feel like changing a little world teaching those wonderful kids. I totally recommend Peru Volunteer and reassure you a great experience where you not only find new friends but also a new home!
The Peru Volunteering in Cusco was an amazing experience and I am more than thankful to experience such an amazing organization. It was always fun to work with the students and also the host. Also was the organisation very helpful. Marcelo showed us the city and tried to help us with the Peruvian culture. I loved to life in the apartment and think it's an amazing possibility to learn a bit more about oneself, Peru and other people.
I really enjoyed my stay in Cusco. Living in the PV residence one has the opportunity to meet other people which are mostly friendly and open. Peru Volunteer gives you not only the chance to work on well-organized projects, but also gives you the possibility to know the country Peru in a lot of aspects (culturally and socially) by traveling or visiting interesting places.

Traveling and volunteering with Peru Volunteer is an amazing experience. You aren‘t just going to travel, you will get to know the people, the culture and you will definitely collect a lot of great memories. I worked in a school and taught English to the students. They are all really interested in learning another language and to get to know a little bit of your culture. It is also a great experience because the people feel so thankful for your presence and will do everything that you also learn a lot. I accompanied an english teacher. I helped her to ameliorate her English and in return she helped me to improve my Spanish. Before I arrived in Peru, I have never spoken Spanisch but thanks to the people and Spanish lessons, I am able to have a conversation and to understand mostly everything. Without a doubt, I can say that this journey was one of the best experiences in my life so far. Besides the volunteering, I got to see a lot of inspirational and beautiful places such as Arequipa, the jungle, human heritage places and a lot of nature.
I came to Peru with no expectations and it happened to be one of the most fulfilling and eyes opening experiences I had. Peru Volunteer will help you with this experience. Since this is not a big organization, it is a lot more flexible on your project choice as well as your individual needs and wishes. Compared to other big organizations where everything feels more distant, with Peru Volunteer you rather feel like being part of a community. After all, everyone is there for a similar reason. The coordinator in Cusco will help you to settle in your first days and is supporting you in all aspects. I was volunteering in a local kindergarten for two months. In those two months I have not only improved my Spanish skills, learned about the Peruvian culture, but also collected countless memories with those adorable children. Thank you Peru Volunteer for making this experience happen!
I wished I would have stayed longer than 4 weeks! This stay was amazing and the dog shelters are full of love. I enjoyed my stay here and can recommand PV to anybody who would like to know Peru at its best. I loved Cusco and the surroundings. The service you get from Marcelo is almost 24/7 which is very helpful, because you never now when you run out of gas :)
