Ruins yet remains. I appreciate how it is being built before, strong and structural. Aside from the "remains" of the old church,You've got to see the tall camel tree which is iconic.

One of my favorite historical church in the Philippines.
December 2014 me, my mom and my son went to this place accompanied by my cousin who live on Camiguin Island. Old Church of Camiguin island is one of the historical place of the Philippines, you'll find it just a short walk from sinking cemetery. This old church was huge and made from rocks, that's why when volcanic eruption came. It's damage all but still the building can be seen and still strong. Now it became the tourist attraction of Camiguin Island. Just reminder, do not go there at night for they say it's bad since a lot of people died on this place during the volcanic eruption including some priest.
Only the walls now remain standing and they can only give an idea of how the original church perimeter looked like. The information provided tells of the time sequence of the volcano eruption that destroyed the church. The remains of the bell tower still stand but they now look like just a pile of big rocks. It would be a good idea to put a photo copy of the original church possibly from ancient books (if such can be found) to give visitors an idea of how the church was like.
If you’re into history, this is the perfect place for you. Learn about Camiguin’s history for a bit in here.
