If you want your ratings fast, this is the place to be! I started training here in January of 2020 with the Airline Career Fast Track Program and just finished my training about a week ago with achieving my MEI. All around great experience with a very professional set of flight instructors whose jobs are to make your dreams reality. An aspect I loved about training with ATP was this location itself, and how relatively small it was. It made the training experience a lot more personable and allowed you to create great life long friends along the way. All around highly recommend ATP for all of your rating needs!

I started the ATP program at Camarillo in January of 2020 and just finished on Feb 16, 2021 with all my certifications. I can say without a doubt that the instructors at Camarillo went above and beyond to make sure that the students are given all the tools necessary to succeed. They really care, and to me that made all the difference. Sure the program is challenging and you are definitely required and expected to put in the time and effort necessary to make the proper progress, but I cant overstate how helpful it was to have instructors who truly cared and were there to make sure you were receiving the proper training. I started the program with zero flight hours and was able to finish the program in 13 months. My instructor kept me on the projected timeline for check-rides but the weather can make flying difficult during the late winter/early spring months and that can delay your completion time by a couple months. I also took some personal time off in December of 2020 which added to the overall time of the program. I would recommend the ATP program to anyone and my overall experience was great. The Camarillo location will always be special to me, and if anyone is deciding on a place to train I cant emphasize enough how exceptional the training and culture is there.

As both a student and now instructor, I can say that ATP prepares pilots for successful aviation careers faster than any other program. If you are highly motivated and willing to make the significant commitment of time, energy, and money, then ATP can take you from never having flown before to instructing in less than a year. Make no mistake, it is a challenging program, but the payoff is significant - and your office will always have a great view.

I trained out of the Camarillo location and the training environment is perfect. You can go to any instructor with any question you may have. They help connect you with other students, and it’s always fun to talk about different scenarios or topics pertaining to checkrides or general aviation. It takes some people 4 to 5 years to get all the certifications you will end up with in 9 months to a little over a year. It took me one year and a few weeks to get all my certs which is pretty normal for a California ATP location. The simulator is also a really useful tool Camarillo has and in the end saves you a lot of time and money. They are also done putting together the testing room so you can knock out your written tests at the Camarillo training center. It’s pretty difficult to complain about training by the beach with great planes and instructors. Big shout out to my instructor Tom who got me through all my checkrides with no failed checkrides! If you put in the time and effort you will also be successful in the program.
