The church was completed as an aristocratic property, the founder of the church was Luca Arbore, the councillor of Stephen the Great, in 1503 and painted on the outside in 1541 employing an exceptionally long lasting blue paint. A first timer in the region, the church has a wide niche on the outside of the Western side, with the entrance placed on a side wall. Impressive paintings. Dedicated to: Saint John the Baptist. Listed by UNESCO since 1993. Highly recommended to visit.

One of the 5 churches from Moldova that have the almost same Blue paint on the walls as Voroneț, also know as "Eastern Sistine Chapel" - worth to go there because it has also a tower at entry - one star minus because you cannot visit inside at anytime
It's old but its looking antique
This is very nice old church with beautiful frescoes. Best to go early, as shortly after opening all buses arrive and the place gets terribly packed.
The most beautiful church in Bucovina. It is the quintessence of orthodox christianity!
Unique green, peaceful.
An old church made by a noble man, Luca Arbore who ended with his head cuted off by the prince Stephen. This church stayed without roof 110 years. The frescoes are dameged.
