What a beautiful and very centrally located hotel in the center of Amsterdam. And what immediately stood out is the hospitality of the people who work here. Very polite and friendly we were received when parking our car in the parking garage. The hotel is beautifully styled and fitted with beautiful furnishings. This is reflected in the carefully decorated rooms. We really lacked nothing. Wonderfully clean rooms, wonderful beds and bedding, wonderful scents from Marie-Stella-Maris! A very nice smart TV in the room. The breakfast was very good in this special time and provided with all kinds of goodies. On Sunday we could leave our car behind for a while after checking out so that we could walk through Amsterdam for another afternoon. This hotel is an absolute must.

The Kimpton is a highly comfortable hotel on an absolute top location in the historic city centre of Amsterdam. Very pleasant lounge with a complimentary happy hour between 5 and 6 for hotel guests ... great wine and nibbles. Their restaurant is top notch as well and serves a decent a la carte breakfast. The rooms are perhaps slightly smallish but have extremely comfortable beds and a nice coffee machine. Very pleasantly decorated as well. One of the best places to stay in Amsterdam!
Spend there one night for Thanksgiving dinner. Hotel perfectly located right in the centre of Amsterdam, rooms are small, but clean and cosy. The best service and hospitality I ever get in Amsterdam, very friendly staff (waitresses Kata thank you) Dinner was perfect, food very tasty and fresh! Like that they are very pet friendly! This hotel highly recommend to visit!
Exceptional decor and design. Room was also exceptional in regards to comfort and elegance. Staff are professional, friendly and informed. Breakfast staff were happy, friendly and kind. Breakfast was excellent. Table service, very attentive.
This hotel was perfect! The staff was welcoming and very helpful with recommendations. The rooms, though small, were efficient and very clean. I loved the style and decor. We arrived before noon on our first day and were surprisingly able to access our rooms immediately. The hotel also will hold your luggage before check-in/after check-out if needed. The hotel went out of their way to make sure you had everything you needed. They also offered things like free hot chocolate in the morning, tea throughout the day, and a complimentary happy hour each evening. There were bikes available for guests to use and always drinking water in the lobby. The hotel is located very close to the train station, making it easily accessible to/from the airport or long-distance rail. It is also close to local public transportation. It is well situation in the northern-middle of Amsterdam, making most neighborhoods walkable though sometimes you’ll need to walk 20-30 minutes. The hotel had a gym. It was small but it had bikes, treadmills, elliptical, and some weights. It was clean and had water/towels.

Let's start, from the main flaw, and that is that this hotel I do not know how it can have 5 stars. Mind you it may be a good 4 star, but 5 seems too much for a hotel where, at check in they don't give the possibility to find the baggage directly in the room and that despite the check in was at 3 pm and the room was delivered at 5, well over 2 hours late, without apology and without even having a glass of water offered to us. Here is not really a 5-star treatment. Breakfast was good, but not 5 stars, the room is nice but without many precautions, basic the 5 stars, for example the courtesy sets are very basic. The shower, as shown in the attached photograph, has limestone that has been around for some time and nobody cares about it. The gentleman who checked us in first made several mistakes and was anything but polite. The hotel is very tastefully decorated and is in a lovely location, that's why we chose it, but maybe next time we will try something else.
Beautiful hotel with a lovely, helpful staff. You cannot hear the other guests at all. The comforters are super cozy and the sheets very soft. The shower is hot and rain style. The on-site food is also good! Be sure to take your coaster down for a free drink!
