I've had a great experience working for AES. I worked for AES for over a year, and was given three different assignments. Although the first assignment was for a business that eventually closed, and the second wasn't a good fit for me, I ultimately finished my third contract, and was hired on permanently. Throughout my time with AES, my recruiter was very responsive, and supportive. Management was always there for me if I had any issues. I have referred a few people because of my experience. I would encourage anyone to check them out, if they are in need of a temp-to-hire opportunity.

Went in for an interview, was told we would hear back from them within 48 hours, almost a weak went by and we hear nothing, we call them and apparently they hadn't even started on the process of find us anything. A few days later and we call them back only for them to insult me assuming I can't do manual labor because of my gender. Discrimination at its finest.

I have not had a pleasant experience here thus far. My fiancé and I applied. For economical reasons we were trying to either find something together or within a close proximity. We were told that companies frown upon having couples work together even though this is a common practice and we have done this before for major companies. Took quite a long time to hear anything back from them initially. When we finally did hear something, they were trying to find me a position at this pallet company. Asked about my fiancé and the recruiter I spoke to didn’t think she would meet the lifting requirements. Even though she said she could lift 50 pounds - she’s almost stronger than myself. Said recruiter never met my fiancé and I feel this was a sexist assumption. Anyway, I accepted the offer and tried it out. For the money I felt like I was at a labor detention camp. I have health issues that were really affecting me because of the nature of this job. The second day I almost passed out and had to go home early. I notified the necessary people. Was asked if I could try to finish out the week, I said yes. As soon as I got home, I got a TEXT - not even a courtesy phone call - that I was being let go from the contract and to “feel free to reach out with concerns”. I texted my concerns that I felt lied to, and it was ridiculous that I was being treated this way over health reasons. I got a copy-paste, uncaring response and they have not tried to reach out or call me. The amount of effort I’ve put in with trying to work with this agency is appalling. All the while they have made no effort to find anything for my fiancé, who is very skilled.
