This is easily the best Japanese/Sushi restaurant I have ever been to! I've been to at least more than 10 Japanese and Sushi restaurants in the valley and this tops all of them. I have been here at least more than 30 times and I cannot say I have had a bad experience. The food is fantastic and I always find something new to get every time. I have attached some photos of some of the best things I've had on the menu. The service here is excellent, I've had the same few waitresses each time and all of them are very nice and polite. They have been able to tolerate me and whoever I'm with while we sit around for 30 minutes talking about what we are going to order. They are very attentive and come by often to ask if we need anything or to give refills. Sometimes when the place is packed they get a little behind but it's nothing to worry about. The food on the menu is a bit pricey so be aware of that, you get what you pay for and what you get from Akai Hana is delicious sushi, noodles, curry, etc. So be prepared to spend at least 20. Either way the food is worth it! During happy hour, which is after 4pm I believe food prices get cheaper so it might be best to come in for dinner which is what I typically do. Overall I specifically made this food reviewer account just to review Akai Hana, so this should speak for the overall quality of the restaurant. I will easily give this place a 10/10 no questions asked, will eat again!

Having moved here recently from California. We were looking for a good sushi place. After trying several other different places. We found this place to be the best and more comparable to what we are used to. We went on a Sunday evening after the movies. It is a very small place and is very busy. We went in the wrong door which they call the back door. We we're told we had to go to the front door and wait there. We waited about 25 minutes before we finally got seated. They have outside seating but we decided to sit inside. Once seated, we ordered but It took quite a while for them to finally bring our food. They only had two girls working so they were very busy but they were very friendly. It happened to be happy hour so the prices were quite reasonable and the food was good. Overall, we would definitely go back.
I was disappointed. They closed early. I would have really enjoyed properly reviewing this restaurant. After calling ahead to confirm the hours at 8:30, then driving the 10 min out of my way to get a to-go order they closed 20 min early. I called from the parking lot and asked why they closed early and if they could still make our to-go order since we had already made a decision as to what we wanted prior to driving there the lady simply said no sorry maybe next time. My son and I are disappointed to say the least. It looked amazing in the other reviews. If I make it back that way again, I will update my review.
I loved this place. Miso Raman was so delicious. The Blue flame sushi, combo #2. We will definitely be back.
Delicious! First time eating here. Even after 30 min drive home, everything was excellent. Tempura was good and not greasy at all, salmon was cooked soft and perfect, didn't have to pick it out of my teeth. Rice was cooked perfectly, and tasted good, and I don't usually like or eat white rice. I will definitely start eating here regularly!
